Etsy (hearts) Haiti

In the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake, various organizations around the world came together to fundraise and collection daily essentials for the earthquake victims in Haiti. Even if you’ve been paying a mild amount of attention to the news, the need for assistance is dire. Not surprisingly, a collective shop , HeartsForHaiti, opened up on Etsy to generate revenues (minus Etsy and Paypal fees) will be donated to DoctorsWithoutBorders (MédeçinsSansFrontières) in bi-monthly increments. This fundraising effort is made possible by hundreds of Etsy shops donating items and shipping for sale. The sales tally is updated nightly and the number is astounding!

I contributed an item of my own and I know others are as well. As a ‘Thank You’ to those who choose to participate in Haiti fundraising through their Etsy shop in one form or another, I’m including items that are for sale or have been sold in an album devoted to the movement on my Facebook Fan Page. You can be a part of this album by contacting me via convo on Etsy or through any of my social networks in the left sidebar.

If you are participating in the relief effort outside of Etsy or any online venue, feel free to share it in the “Comments” section of this blog post!
